How to Disable Your Browser's Autofill Feature?

Below we'll discuss how to disable Autofill for the following browsers:

  • Chrome

  • Edge

  • Firefox

Turn off Autofill in Chrome

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.

  2. At the top right, click More (indicated by 3 vertical dots) → Settings.

  3. Click on 'Addresses'

  4. Turn off Autofill forms.

 

Turn off Autofill in Edge

  1. Open Microsoft Edge.

  2. Select the More actions button (indicated by 3 horizontal dots) .

  3. Select SettingsProfiles.

  4. Select Addresses and more, and move the "button" to the left, which will disable saved addresses. or if you do not see Addresses and more then click on Personal Info → then disable Save and fill basic info

 

Turn off Autofill in Firefox

  1. On your computer, open Firefox.

  2. Access the Menu (indicated by 3 vertical lines) and choose Preferences.

  3. Select the Privacy & Security in the sub-menu.

  4. In the Forms & Passwords section, remove the check mark next to Autofill addresses to turn it off.

  5. In the History section on the same page, remove the check mark next to Remember search and form history.
