User cannot print from Microsoft Edge

Problem

When a user tries to print an expense report, timesheet report, etc. using Microsoft Edge, they only see the save as option, and not the print option.

Solution


It is a known issue and was reported to Microsoft in 2015, and there has been no solution yet. https://connect.microsoft.com/IE/Feedback/Details/1589775. 


In Edge, users can print webpages, but not windows within a webpage. Following are the solutions to the problem.


  1. User could save the report on their computer, and then print from the saved document.
  2. User can use any other browser and it should work fine.
  3. Since Edge can print webpages, Databasics has an expand option that can be used if the report fits within the expanded window. It can be done like below.
    1. Click on the expand option.
    2. Right click and then print. You can also use Ctrl+P.
