Importing Data into TESite

Profiles are used as the primary vehicle to import data into the TESite database from a wide variety of sources. Once properly configured, Profiles can import data from files or from database tables. Profiles are used as a method to communicate to the database. Each profile attribute can be uniquely identified based on a classification that is composed of a Profile ID, Section, and Key ID.

  • Profile ID: Unique system-generated ID for that profile.
  • Section:: Groups the profile attributes according to the general functionality.
  • Key ID: Defines the attribute's most basic characteristic (value, data type, requirement, etc.)

A Section may have more than one Key ID assigned.
