Standard Domains

Back end reporting data is held in predefined Domains. These domains are designed to group together columns to help facilitate the creation of common reports. A brief description of each domain as well as examples of the types of reports that can be created are below. Please note that reporting is not limited to the examples provided.

Expense Domains

  • Expense Additional Fields by Expense Type: Allows you to create a report based on the additional/custom fields added in the expense set up. 
    • Travel related fields
      • Mileage From and To
      • Commute Mileage
      • Car Rental Details
      • Airline Details
      • City
      • Per Diem
      • Meal Deductions
    • Custom Fields on Report Level
    • Custom Fields on Expense Level
    • Employee Information
    • WBS Information
  • Expense Advance Reconciliation
    • Expense Advance Reconciliation Fully Applied Only:
      • Reporting based on Fully Applied advance type only
      • Includes both applied and unapplied advances
      • Allows you to create reports that show the status of advances within the system
      • Examples:
        • Unapplied Advance Report
        • Advances by User
        • Advances by WBS (Project, Client, etc.)
    • Expense Advance Reconciliation Partially and Fully Applied
      • Similar to Expense Advance Reconciliation Fully Applied but includes Partially advance types
      • If an advance has been applied to multiple expense reports, the approved advance amount may be shown more than once
      • Example:
        • Partially Applied Advances Report
  • Expense Approval Summary: This domain displays the approval structure tied to an expense report.  
    • Examples:
      • Expense Reports waiting for Approval
      • Approval Queue by Approver
      • Expense Report Approval History
      • Number of days a report is in an approvers queue
  • Expense Attendees by Expense Type: This domain allows you to create reports based on attendees added to an expense type as well as the pro-rated amount tied to each attendee. 
    • Examples:
      • Attendee List by Expense Type
      • Average amount per attendees (including or excluding the report owner)
  • Expense Attendee with Amount Allocation per Attendee: This domain is similar to the Expense Attendee Domain, however this reports against amounts spent per attendee as specified by the user. 
    • Examples:
      • Amount spent per attendee for the year
      • Entertainment Expenses
        NOTE: These reports are used for Sunshine Act Attendee Reporting.

  • Expense Budget Domain: This domain allows you to report against expense budgets.
    • Available Budget Amount
    • Budgeted vs Actual
  • Expense Created Reports: This domain allows you to create a report based on expense reports that have been created. This will show you information about the report on a summary level and will not include details of what is included in the report. Expense report header information.
    • Report Status (Approved, Closed, In Approval Process, On Hold (Draft), Open, Rejected, Released)
    • Process Status (Fully Paid, No Action, Partially Paid, Posted for Payment)
    • Total Amount per Report
  • Expense Credit Card Reconciliation: Allows you to create reports to assist in the reconciliation of Credit Card transactions. 
    • Examples:
      • Unapplied Credit Card Transactions by Employee
      • Credit Card Charges by Org Structure (Company/Department/Employee)
  • Expense Detail Charges at Line Item: Allows you to create reports based on the details at the expense line level. These details include amounts payable to the employee, amounts payable to the credit card company, personal amounts (non-reimbursable) and total amounts. Does not include WBS information. 
    • Examples:
      • Expenses by Payment Type
      • Mileage by user
      • Per Diem 
      • Credit card transactions added to a report
  • Expense Posted Detail Transactions by Batch: The post domain shows the details of posted expense reports. It breaks the data down to the activity/WBS structure and displays which extract the transaction was posted to.
    • Posted Transactions to GL
  • Expense Pre-authorization: Allows you to create reports that reconcile travel authorization requests with the actual expense reports. 
    • Examples:
      • Travel Authorization Reconciliation Report
  • Expense Pre-paid Reconciliation: Similar to advance reconciliation, this domain allows you to view the status of pre-paid transactions in the application. 
    • Examples:
      • Unapplied Pre-Paid Transactions
  • Expense Report Status: Use this domain to create status reports of expense reports in the application. It can also be used as a summary domain.
    • Examples:
      • Expense Status Report
      • Rejected Expense Reports
  • Expense Report Work Flow Domain: This domain allows you to create reports that shows the history of the Expense Report. When certain actions were taken and by whom (created, released, rejected, approved, etc.). 
    • Examples:
      • Expense Report Audit
  • Expense Validation Details: Allows you to check the validation status of expense reports in the system. 
    • Examples:
      • Expense Validation Report
      • Flagged Expense Reports

Time Domains

  • Time Additional Fields: Allows you to create a report based on the additional/custom fields added in the time set up.
  • Time Approval Summary: This domain displays the approval structure tied to a timesheet.  
    • Examples:
      • Timesheets waiting for Approval
      • Approval Queue by Approver
      • Timesheet Approval History

  • Time Budget: This domain allows you to report against time budgets.
    • Available Budget Amount
    • Budgeted vs Actual
  • Time Clock In/Out: This domain is used to show the clock in/out details.
    • Clock In/Out Coordinates
    • Clock In/Out IP Address
    • Clock In/Out Outside of the area allowed
    • Time charged to WBS structure
    • Notes provided
    • When a clock out was done through auto clock out
  • Time Detail Hours Domain: This is tied to the timesheet data (header, row and detail). It will display the hours entered per day on the timesheet. 
    • Example:
      • Hours Detail Report (Shown by WBS Structure)
      • Time In/Out Details
  • Time Hours Bill and Cost Amounts by Line: This domain is similar to the Time Detail Bill Domain, but it also includes cost rate and amount by timesheet line. 
    • Examples:
      • Detail Cost Rate Report by timesheet entry line

  • Time Missing Domain: Use this domain to create reports for Missing Timesheet. 
    • Examples:
      • Missing Timesheet Report
  • Time Missing Clocks: This domain allows you to create a report of missing time for Clock In/Out option. 
    • Employees with missing time by day of the week and date


  • Time Note Detail By Line: The Note Detail Domain is used to create reports that shows the note details attached to a timesheet. The hours will only be displayed for notes that are date specific. The note date and hours charged must match for there to be a note and hours on the same line. If the note is for a date range, there will be zero hours next to the note.  
    • Examples:
      • Timesheet Detail Notes Report
  • Time Notes by Timesheet: The Note Domain is used to create reports that shows the notes attached to a timesheet. The hours displayed are for the hours entered for that row (total hours). If there are multiple notes, the total will show for each note line. 
    • Examples:

  • Time Posted Transactions by Batch: This domain allows you to create reports showing when a timesheet was extracted and which batch type it was extracted to. 
    • Examples:
      • Timesheet Extract Report to (accounting system)
  • Time Status Domain: Use this domain to create status reports for timesheets in the application. Does not include WBS information.  
    • Examples:
      • Timesheet Status Report
      • Rejected Timesheet Report
      • Missing Timesheet Report
  • Time Summary Hours: This is tied to the timesheet data (header, row and detail). It will display the hours summarized by timesheet. Does not include WBS information. 
    • Examples:
      • Billable/Non-billable Hours per Period
      • Leave Hours Charged per Period
  • Time Validation DetailsAllows you to check the validation status of timesheets in the system. 
    • Examples:
      • Timesheet Validation Report
      • Timesheets under FTE
      • Timesheets with policy flags - policy number and message
  • Time Work Flow: This domain allows you to create reports that shows the history of the timesheet. When certain actions were taken and by whom (created, released, rejected, approved, etc.). 
    • Example:
      • Timesheet Audit Report
  • TimePTOBalance: This domain allows you to create reports based on leave accrual balances. This does not include starting balances.
    • Leave balance report with accrual and taken hours
    • Leave balance report with banked hours
    • Leave balance report with saved hours (based on Keep Accrual field on leave setup)
