Installing DATABASICS SuiteApp from NetSuite Marketplace
Prerequisites and Requirements
Before installing a SuiteApp, ensure you meet the following requirements:
NetSuite Access & Role Permissions
You must have Administrator or SuiteApp Marketplace Access permissions in NetSuite.
Ensure that your role has Custom SuiteApp Installation privileges.
NetSuite Version Compatibility
Verify that your NetSuite account version is compatible with the SuiteApp. Some SuiteApps may require a specific version of NetSuite.
Subscription
DATABASICS SuiteApp requires a subscription fee as part of the DATABASICS contract.
SuiteCloud Features
Navigate to Setup > Company > Enable Features > SuiteCloud and enable the following (if not already enabled):
SuiteApp Marketplace (for SuiteApp discovery and installation)
SuiteScript
SuiteFlow
Client SuiteScript (if applicable)
Server SuiteScript (if required by the SuiteApp)
Sandbox Testing (Optional but Recommended)
If available, install the SuiteApp in a Sandbox environment first to ensure compatibility before deploying it to production.
Step-by-Step Installation Guide
Step 1: Access NetSuite Marketplace
Log in to your NetSuite Account.
Navigate to SuiteApps > SuiteApp Marketplace.
Use the search bar and look for DATABASICS.
Click on the DATABASICS SuiteApp to view details such as features, compatibility, and required permissions.
Step 2: Install the SuiteApp
Click the Install button.
Click Confirm & Install.
The installation process will begin, and NetSuite will automatically install the SuiteApp into your environment.
Step 3: Verify Installation
Navigate to Customization > SuiteCloud Development > Installed SuiteApps.
Locate DATABASICS SuiteApp in the list to confirm the installation.
A new role, "DATABASICS Integration Service Main" is now included as part of the installation. This role provides all the necessary access for DATABASICS to post time and expenses to NetSuite, based on your specific requirements.
Step 4: Enable Token-Based Authentication (TBA)
Go to Setup > Company > Enable Features.
Navigate to the SuiteCloud tab.
Under the Manage Authentication section, check Token-Based Authentication.
Under SuiteTalk (Web Services) section check SOAP Web Services and REST Web Services
Click Save.
Step 5: Generate Access Token
Navigate to Setup > Users/Roles > Access Tokens > New.
Select:
Application Name: DATABASICS
User: (Select the user with the assigned integration role)
Role: DATABASICS Integration Service Main
Click Save.
Note the Token ID and Token Secret—these will be used in DATABASICS. Keep the Token ID and Secret somewhere save and send it to DATABASICS implementation team in an encrypted email if possible.
Step 6: Configuration DATABASICS to connect to NetSuite
In DATABASICS, the implementation team will be setting the following Integration Settings.
Enter the following credentials:
Consumer Key (Provided by DATABASICS)
Consumer Secret (Provided by DATABASICS)
Token ID (from Step 5)
Token Secret (from Step 5)
Save the settings and test the connection.
Final Validation
Perform a test sync between DATABASICS and NetSuite.
Check for any errors in NetSuite’s Integration Status.
Verify that data is flowing correctly between both systems.
