Add a new line

  • Click the add icon to create a new line.
  • If applicable, enter the Time Code for the line by either keying it in or clicking on the magnifying glass icon  and make a selection from the menu.
  • Enter the code(s)s for the Work Breakdown Structure, either key in the appropriate WBS code(s), or click the icon to the right of the WBS field to begin the search/selection process.
    • When using the search/selection process, click on "Select" to copy the data into the field. Click on "Go to Next Level" to drill down to the next level.
    • The "Select" and "Go to Next Level" links may or may not be active depending on the configuration.
  • If there are Organizational Breakdown Structure fields on your time-line (e.g. Department, Location, Function) they may fill with default values. Make any required corrections or fill blank fields by keying directly or using the search function.
  • Key in the hours or portions of hours in the appropriate increments.
  • If notes are required, enter the correction or explanation note.
  • Hit the "Enter" key or click on the  icon to save.
  • Click on  icon to copy the details of a line and add to a new line. This feature would be used if all the details are the same but one section of the entry (e.g. WBS level). 

Repeat these steps until all of the required lines and hours are added.

Modifying a line

  • Double click on the line you wish to modify.
  • Update the fields you wish to modify
  • Hit the "Enter" key or click on the  icon to save the changes.

Remove a line

  • Highlight the line you wish to delete by clicking on it
  • Click the deleteicon.
  • Confirm by clicking "Yes" in the pop up box.
