Accessing SFTP Site         

An SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol) site allows you to upload and download data files pertaining to the profiles explained in this document. To connect, you must first download an SFTP client which allows you to connect to the site. Ex. Filezilla

You will be prompted to add Username and Password  (SFTP to connect IP address needs to be white listed.

If the login is successful, you will be able to view the following folders:

  1. Data – folder where data loads to DATABASICS needs to be placed
  2. Expense – folder where expense data extracts from DATABASICS will be placed
  3. Time – folder where time data extracts from DATABASICS will be placed


Click on the applicable folder as indicated:

  • All files to be loaded to DATABASICS are picked up from the Data folder. If they are not in that folder, the file will remain unloaded.
  • All extract files will be placed in the Time or Expense folder respectively, with file names including a date and time stamp per the agreed design.

IP White listed

To support the company security policy the customer must provide DATABASICS support (support@data-basics.com) with IP address(es) so that these can be whitelisted to gain access to SFTP site.
