Batch Type

The ability of the application to export to multiple systems is performed through the use of batch types. A separate batch type will be created and configured for each external system being exported to. The purpose of creating batch types is to allow the extraction module to differentiate batches in the extract tables to ensure correct batch type and external system association. The application has a default batch type called 'DB'. Below are the steps to creating a new batch type, if needed:

1. Under Data Piping in the Main Menu, select Batch Type.
2. To create a new Batch Type, click the Add Button.
3. Provide a two-character string for Batch Type.
4. Provide a Name for the batch type.
5. Provide Description for the batch type (Optional).
6. Select 'Yes' for the Active flag.
7. Click the Save button.
