How do I give access to Jasper to user?
How do I give access to Jasper to user?
Access to the Jasper Reporting tool is controlled via T&E Access. There are three options go give to a role:
- Administrator: Administrators are able to create, save and run reports. They can also manage the reports by restricting & assigning reports to certain users.
- User: Users can only run reports. They will only be able to see the reports that an Admin has not restricted from them.
- Disabled: Users with this option will not have access to the Jasper Reporting tool.
Once the T&E Access Roles have been set up, they must be assigned to the user. Every user has a default T&E Access Role, but it can be updated by an Admin. These can be updated by going to the Employee's profile and selecting the desired Role.
A profile runs on a daily basis to check if any new users have been given access. If a user has been newly set up with a T&E Access Role that has access to Jasper, they will not be able to log into Jasper until the next time the profile runs. However, if you do not want to wait until then, you can run it manually.
- In Admin, go to Data Piping > All Profile Tasks
- Find the "Add Jasper Users" Profile and click the Run Now link.
