WBS Types allows administrators to differentiate categories of the first and second level of the WBS. For example, if level 1 is Client, then the level 1 type could differentiate between external and internal clients. If level 2 is Project, then the level 2 type could differentiate between fixed price and time and materials projects. Level types can be elements in reports and policy rules.

To create a Level Type:
- Click on WBS to expand the menuExpand WBS by clicking on the plus sign.
- Click WBS Types.Click on the Level Type.
- Click the on Add button.
- Enter the unique level type ID in the ID field Level Type* field. This field is limited to 20 characters.
- In the Name* field, enter a name to identify this level type. This field is limited to 100 characters.
- In the Description field, enter text to further identify this Level Type. This field is limited to 255 characters.
- If this level type is to be used now, in the Active field select Yes.
- Click the Save button.
- Click the Back button to return to the Level Type window.Click on Save
